10 Commandments of Better Sleep

Hey there!

Here on The Quickly Sleep Team, we are very passionate about helping YOU optimize your sleep for the better! To help with that, we'd love to share with you the 10 Commandments for Better Sleep! Check those out below!

1. Establish a set time for going to sleep and waking up! 😴 🌞 Doing this will give your body the consistency it needs to make the best use of the rest you are giving it! Just like using Quickly Sleep, it gets better the more you do it!

2. If you do nap 🛏️, keep it to 45 minutes or less! Sometimes less really is more!

3. We all like to let a little loose! 🥂 If you do enjoy alcoholic beverages, try to stop drinking 1-2 hours before you want to be asleep! Alcohol can inhibit the way your body processes the melatonin that is part of Quickly Sleep, giving you less than ideal results!

4. Exercise! It seems like a no brainer that exercise will make you more tired and sleep better! Just remember to keep it light and not get aerobic right before bed time! 🏋️

5. Caffeine can last in your system for a long time! Try to keep ☕ to the mornings so that you aren't keeping yourself up!

6. Avoid sleeping in, even on the weekends. We know this is a hard one to keep up with! It feels just right sleeping in on a Saturday and enjoying the day. Just like we said in #1, the more consistent you are with the schedule the better! ⏰

7. 🌙 💤 Turn the lights and your devices off an hour before bed. Phones, computers, tablets, and house lights all emit blue spectrum light which inhibits melatonin production in your body, which is a crucial part of good sleep! This can also impact the effectiveness of Quickly Sleep

8. We know it's another no brainer, but make sure your bed and bedroom are comfortable! Comfort is all personal preference, make sure you are comfy in bed so that you can have a good night's rest! 😪

9. Avoid eating foods that are high in carb 🍝, high in fat 🍔, or spicy 🌮 before bed. A snack before bed isn't the worst thing, but these foods will prevent you from getting the sleep you deserve!

10. Lastly, your bedroom should be your sleep sanctuary 💤.  Try to keep work and play to where they belong!  🛏️
